Dispatcher and Shuttle Driver
- Receive and process transportation requests
- Dispatch drivers as needed
- Assist in coordinating the scheduling of routes
- Instruct drivers in policy procedures and schedule changes
- Fill-in for other drivers who are out and safely transport preschool children to and from The Children’s Center Utah
- Work cooperatively with the clinical staff to meet the needs of the children
- Cover the office front desk as needed
- 21 years or older
- Clean driving record with no DUIs (Motor Vehicle Records will be checked)
- Similar driving experience and/or dispatch experience preferred (NO CDL required)
- Ability to pass a background screening
- Ability to climb up and down stairs and look under bus seats
- Schedule flexibility, to be able to cover entire day as backup driver or Transportation Coordinator as needed
- Ability to operate computer and printer, possessing basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using a two-way radio, telephone, and written instructions
- Must be able to read and understand online maps for routing and scheduling purposes
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult or stressful situations
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills helpful
