Position Type:            20 hours per week. Starting September 16, 2025

Utah Foster Care has established a Care Communities Program in Utah in partnership with Utah First Lady Abby Cox’s Show Up Initiative. The program surrounds foster families with meaningful connections and support from organizations within their community.
We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as the Care Communities Coordinator for the Northern Region of Utah, which includes Davis, Morgan, Rich, Cache, Weber, and Box Elder counties. The Coordinator will build the program under the direct supervision of the Director of Community Volunteers and will be part of our Northern Region Utah Foster Care team.

Care Communities Coordinator Responsibilities:
Community Engagement: Develop and present informational events to cultivate new partnerships with faith-based, business, and community organizations for participation in the Care Communities Program.
Care Team Development and Management: Meet with potential organizations, build new Care Teams, and match foster parents to organizations.
Care Team Training and Support: Plan, coordinate, and attend Care Communities trainings for assigned Care Teams. Provide consistent mentoring to Care Team Leaders, Foster Parents, and Care Team Members.
Collaboration: Work closely with the regional team to develop the program through collaboration with recruitment, education, and retention staff.
Organizational Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Utah Foster Care’s mission and strategic plan to recruit, train, and retain foster parents by building the Care Communities Program.  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Skilled in developing community relationships, including corporate and faith communities.
Experience engaging with staff from the Division of Child and Family Services or highly skilled at building collaborative relationships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Flexibility to accommodate some weekend and evening hours.
Comfortable learning and utilizing digital software, including Microsoft Office, CRMs, etc.

Job Requirements:
Requires some evening/weekend hours and travel.
Valid Driver’s License & reliable vehicle required.
Hours are in-person with occasional virtual meetings.
