Board Member - At Large
Camp Hobé Kids is a Utah-based nonprofit whose mission is to create an atmosphere that enhances self-esteem, fosters independence and friendships, and creates a feeling of belonging for children with cancer and similarly-treated disorders and their families. We do this through summer camps and family outings, and we're looking for passionate community leaders to join our Board of Directors.
We have multiple board positions open and welcome candidates from all professional backgrounds — finance, marketing, fundraising, education, HR, technology, or community outreach. Prior board experience is not required; we provide full orientation and ongoing support.
As a board member, you will:
- Attend quarterly board meetings and serve on at least one committee
- Help guide the organization's strategic direction and financial health
- Support fundraising efforts and serve as a community ambassador for our mission
- Contribute your professional expertise to key organizational decisions
We're looking for people who are genuinely engaged. Ideal candidates bring integrity, good judgment, and a real heart for kids and families navigating serious illness.
Time commitment: Approximately 5–8 hours per month, including meetings and committee work. Terms are two years, renewable.
This is a working board with a collaborative, welcoming culture. If you care about making a difference for Utah children and families and want to grow as a leader, we'd love to connect.
To express interest, please contact Alex Davenport, Executive Director, at alex.davenport@camphobekids.org . Questions welcome - no formal application required to start a conversation.
Camp Hobé Kids is committed to building a board that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. People of all backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.
